Join our team at SOTE AI Hackathon

We have three open seats on our team, and we are looking for one presenter who speaks Finnish, one person from the clinical side, and one engineer.

SeeYouDoc is a health technology company based at Maria 01 in Helsinki, currently in the Northern Light Accelerator, with our product and engineering teams in Manila. We are entering the LUVN SOTE AI Hackathon and teams can have five people. There are two of us.

The challenge we are entering

Challenge 1, more time for patient encounters. Care professionals lose working time searching for the same information across separate systems, and clients answer the same questionnaires over and over.

Our approach is a read only layer that sits beside the record system. It reads across the seams between health and social care, between the county and HUS, and between Kanta and everything outside it, then returns one structured view of the person. We do not replace the record system and we never write to it.

The event provides synthetic patient profiles from Veil.AI, built on the population structure of Länsi-Uusimaa. No real patient data is used at any point.

The three seats

1. Presenter, Finnish speaking

The event runs in Finnish and the final pitch is on stage in front of judges from LUVN, HUS and eight other regions. We need someone who can stand up and tell the story in Finnish, clearly and with confidence.

You do not need to be technical. You need to understand the problem quickly, ask us hard questions until the story is honest, and then own the stage. If you have pitched before, in a startup, a student organisation, a hospital meeting or a theatre, that counts.

2. Clinical or social care

Someone who has worked in Finnish health or social care, or studies it: nurse, doctor, physiotherapist, social worker, care coordinator, medical or health informatics student.

Your job is to keep us honest about the real workflow. What does a professional actually look for before an appointment, in what order, and what would make the day better rather than merely different. You judge whether what we build saves a minute or wastes one.

3. Engineer

Our stack is Elixir (Phoenix), Flutter and Kubernetes, and the health data work is HL7 FHIR R4, Finnish Kanta CDA documents and the European electronic health record exchange format. We use AI for mapping and coding of free text, not for clinical decisions.

You do not need to know FHIR, and you do not need Elixir. If you are comfortable in any modern language and you enjoy data shaped problems, you will be productive on day one. If you do know FHIR or Kanta, even better, because very few people have built this end to end.

What you get

• A finished piece of work that you own. Teams keep what they build. The best solutions are invited to workshops with LUVN and the partner regions, where real pilots are scoped.
• Hands on experience with the plumbing behind the EU health data deadlines. From 2029 every record system in Europe must be able to issue and accept patient summaries and prescriptions in one European format. Almost nobody has built it yet. You will spend two days inside that problem.
• Two days building with a team that runs a health platform at national scale in the Philippines, with local governments, hospitals and clinics as customers.
• A proper look at us as an employer. We expect to hire in Finland after our seed round. Two days of building together tells both sides more than any interview.

To be straight about it: no role is promised, and this is not paid work. It is a hackathon, and a genuine look at each other.
